Standard residential.At the touch of a button, or voice command the automatic door opener gives complete independence to enter and exit a building. This professional grade disabled access system unlatches a locked door, then opens, pauses and closes it - all automatically. This remote controlled door opener can be operated with a variety of wheelchair mounted remote controls, wall push pads, SAJE Technology environmental control units and other controls customized to accommodate almost any physical disability.
The door opener system incorporates the use of a door release mechanism installed in the door frame. This type of mechanism, called an electric strike plate, is commonly used in apartment buildings where an intercom system is present, and allows the continued use of all existing keys. In the event of a power outage, our openers still operate at full power allowing continued access for several hours.
The door systems offer unique conveniences in operation. A door can be controlled with a remote control door opening device or operated manually. Unlike some other door opening devices the opening is completely smooth in operation and feel. There is no clicking, friction and/or resistance when opening and closing the door. The door moves freely and can be left open or ajar for pets, repeated passage or for ventilation.

Q: Will people that don't have a remote control be able to operate the door?
Yes, the door operates normally when manually used.
Q: Will the system release a locked door?
Yes, the electric strike plate releases the door latch, allowing you to automatically open the door while it is locked.
Q: Will I be stuck in or out if the power goes out?
No, the door operator has an internal 12v dc lead acid battery, that will operate the unit for a under loss of power. The battery is kept constantly charged while the power is on.
Q: Do I need an electrical outlet close to the door?
It is best if there is an accessible outlet within 20 feet of the door.
Q: Do the batteries need to be changed frequently?
The battery will last up to 3 years. The remote control batteries are alkaline type that can be found at a local electronics store and may need to be changed more frequently.
Q: Do I need a new door?
Usually no. The opener will work with most doors. It is important that the door be neutral in it'smovement and aligned and hung properly. In addition, there must be no rubbing or binding of the door in the frame when closing.
Q: Do I need a new lock set?
No, you can use your existing lock set and keys. But we recommend that you have the type of lock set with an inside handle that can be turned while the door is locked. This will prevent the door from accidentally being left unlocked when someone manually opens the door to leave.
