Testimonies

The Roturner has been a great piece of equipment to our home. It ensures the safety of both our residents and myself while performing transfers. The returner promotes resident independence. Many thanks to the creator of the Roturner!!

We have been using the Roturner for over a year! It has been such a great piece of equipment to ensure the safety of residents during transfers and to minimize any employee injuries during transfers. We have replaced 4 hoyer lifts with 4 Roturners instead. The Roturner promotes resident independence, maintains their dignity, and allows them to feel respected and valued. In retirement, we work with different staffing requirements, so the Roturner turns a two person transfer into a one person transfer which is great for our retirement home staff setting. Every time we trial the Roturner with a new resident who has arrived, you can see the joy in their facial expression when they realize how safe and easy the Roturner makes their transfers. The residents are so happy that they can stand up and stretch their back and legs from being in a sitting or lying position during the transfer.

When I was first introduced to the Roturner, I was ecstatic as I noted the brilliance in the design and the benefits this device offered in ensuring the safety of people and health care professionals while performing transfers. I purchased this product and quickly learned of further benefits. The health care professionals began strengthening programs with our seniors and noted many successes in improving our resident's strength and mobility. We had one particular resident that was a mechanical lift and after a short period of time had the strength to pull himself upright independently by using the Roturner and was able to participate in his transfer promoting his independence and improving his well-being. It was a divine accomplishment. Many thanks to the creators of this product as it genuinely is the safest transfer device for health care professionals and people requiring assistance.

Downsview has had a Roturner in our longterm care home for almost two months. We have found that it is the perfect transfer device for those residents who are able to weight bear, but do not need the assistance of a full mechanical lift. It is a benefit to the residents as they maintain a higher level of independence and strength because they have to participate in the transfer. The staff love it because it now only requires one staff to transfer these residents safely and it saves strain on their backs as they can use this device in lieu of a floor lift. It is quicker, safer, more mobile and easier to store on the nursing unit. We love it and will be purchasing more in the future.

We have had the Roturner for a week trial, and the staff love it. It is so easy to use, and operate. We have tried from chair to bed, bed to wheelchair and the transfers are so easy with the Roturner. I highly recommend this transfer aid, as it has made the transfers so much easier. No strain to resident or staff involved. Thank you

It was our pleasure to have you demonstrate the Roturner. Samhall turner is the name of the transfer aide we are using. I trialed it for 2 residents yesterday and they are more comfortable and felt safer in comparison to Samhall turner. Not only it benefits the resident but also lesser effort from staff assistance during the transfer. So far I don’t have safety concerns. Thank you,

I was first introduced to the Roturner while working at in the UK at Queen Alexandra Hospital. When my mother was diagnosed a few years ago with terminal cancer, her mobility began to decrease to a point where she was un-able to transfer from her wheelchair without significant assistance. Because of her cancer medication, she lost muscle strength in her legs, and gained weight. This made transfers at home very difficult, although she was able to stand. While she used to travel enthusiastically, she became hesitant to do so because of her decreased capacity, the risk of falls, and the often inadequate disability facilities in hotels. We searched the North American market for an adequate solution, and there wasn’t anything that we could use that didn’t require a sling or a that had akwards wheels. We ordered a Roturner to help with these needs, and we couldn’t be happier! Not only has it provided significant physical relief to our family who provide primary care for my mom (we were getting injured helping with her mobility needs, especially on days she was tired), it has also increased my mom’s confidence to be able to travel again! We have taken the Roturner with us on vacation, as it mitigates any hotel room inadequacy. We use it for bed transfers, car transfers, bathroom transfers, and couch/chair transfers. It has completely changed our lives! So far I don’t have safety concerns. Thank you,

We are purchasing our second unit. My residents love the Roturner! Some are even improving their strength by participating in the transfer. The Roturner makes transfers much easier and safer for the team and the residents”.
