How Vision Buddy Works

Step 1
Connect Vision Buddy Streamer to TV Cable Box.  Vision Buddy supports any Cable or TV Provider Box ( Comcast, Cox, Apple TV ). Simply connect the HDMI cable out from the box to Vision Buddy Streamer's HDMI in port.
Step 2
Turn on Vision Buddy headset on.  When you turn on the Vision Buddy headset, it will automatically connect to the streamer, and start showing live TV video!
And thats it!
You are now ready to use the world's first and ultra simple TV watching system for elderly and visually impaired! Simply use the TV or cable box's remote to change channels, and see the live video clearly and in vivid colors on the headset.

IS IT MEDICALLY VALIDATED?  This is a non-invasive low vision aid, and thus does not require FDA certification.

WILL IT WORK WITH MY TV?  Yes! Vision Buddy works with any TV setup. You can use it with cable or satellite provider box. It also works with all types of streamer boxes like Roku or Apple TV.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VISION BUDDY AND OTHER LOW VISION HEADSETS?  All headsets provide Magnification and OCR. Along with Magnification and OCR Vision Buddy provides you with the ability to watch your existing TV, it streams the image right into the headset. You don't need any Wifi. And don't need to download any apps. It is a simple plug and play system.

WHY IS TV WATCHING SO MUCH BETTER ON VISION BUDDY?  Vision Buddy streams the image real time from your TV directly into the headset and maintains the HD resolution. We provide live image corrections and image enhancement which results in the a high quality image projected at different magnification levels onto the eyes of a low vision person with a 90 degree field of view. The results are amazing. Other product use a camera for TV watching, which results in a very poor image quality. Even if you have a the latest TV using a camera to look at a TV screen results in a lot of image loss, color loss and blur image.

WHAT ABOUT SOUND WHILE WATCHING TV? We realize that with vision loss there is some hearing loss also. Vision Buddy has an in build stereo speakers that provide high quality sound close to your ears. And if you want to watch TV more privately you can connect the headphones that are included.

HOW DOES THE MAGNIFIER AND OCR WORK?  Vision Buddy is not just a TV watching system it also is a very powerful digital magnifier with 10 Zoom Levels. You can look around the room, look at faces, look outside the window, read your prescription bottle, take it to a museum or stage play. To magnify simply press the Plus and Minus buttons on the side.  We have an offline OCR, which means you don't need Wifi to use OCR. Simply take a picture of text by pressing the mode button and it will read it back to you aloud.
