Quintet: Learn about switches and turn-taking while playing music.
Make music with switches: The Quintet is for teachers, therapists, parents and others who want to use music in an activity with children or adults. It can be used with a group of people or by a single individual and is great for teaching turn-taking and cause-and-effect. How it works:
Easy to use: The Quintet has a built-in speaker, operates on batteries and is light enough to take with you wherever you go. All you have to do is switch it on and start making music.
Music with Switches: You can connect up to five standard accessibility switches to the Quintet. Use it with a group of students or individually to learn about switch use whilst having fun.
Record your own: Create your own exercises by using a standard MIDI keyboard. Record the melody of a student’s favorite song so that they can play it back on their switch, one note or one bar at a time.
Resource Pack: Ten pre-programmed songs are stored within the Quintet. These are accompanied by a resource pack that is full of fun activities suitable for many age groups.

A device I use everyday in my music therapy workshops
The Quintet is well-suited for working with a group. All participants can play their own role within a piece of music. But it’s also a therapeutic aid. One application allows a therapist to introduce a child to the concept of using switches. It’s also a valuable aid in Forced Hand Use training. Most importantly, the Quintet is convenient and easy to use. It has a built-in speaker and operates with a battery. Just switch it on and you’re ready to play. No valuable therapy time is lost, and it’s easy to take it along to other therapy rooms. The Quintet comes with a book full of fun activities.
