ORION TI-36X Talking Scientific Calculator  - DISCONTINUED - See TI-30XS

Scientific calculator is an absolute necessity in today’s middle and high-school curricula, and in higher education. The Orion TI-36X is based on the popular Texas Instruments TI-36X Solar Educational Calculator, widely used by students of junior high-school algebra to college calculus. With an established reputation for being the most affordable, compact and fully featured Talking Scientific Calculator, the Orion TI-36X and its predecessor, the Orion TI-34, have enjoyed the unique distinction of being THE most desirable talking scientific calculators for students and professionals since their introduction, twelve years ago.

Since its functions are exactly the same as the TI-36X, the Orion is very easy for teachers to help with. A clear, high-quality, recorded voice announces each key and the answer on the display, providing a choice of speech modes for quiet or verbose operation.

The unique Learning Mode allows the user to easily identify any key at any time, without interrupting the calculation they are performing. The calculator has over 127 scientific functions including 2-variable statistics, trigonometry, unit conversion and a variety of physical constants.

The calculator is permitted for use on College Board tests including AP, SAT and PSAT/NMSQT.

A high capacity rechargeable battery provides many hours of continuous operation and an AC adapter is included to charge it. An automatic power-off feature further extends battery life. The unit comes with a protective hard cover, earphone, manual in large-print and cassette tape and an AC adapter.
