Pristinely Clean & Wireless

Cleankeys helps keep both staff and patients safe from pathogens. With a smooth surface that’s free of deep grooves and gaps for germs to hide in, Cleankeys really is the world’s easiest keyboard to clean. Cleankeys converts one of the dirtiest surfaces in your facility to one of the cleanest. And the new patent-pending CleanSweep monitoring software helps keep it that way

The Touchpad-Numpad

CK3-15 includes a first of its kind; an integrated touchpad, that also doubles as a numeric keypad. The user has the function of a full size numeric keypad, as well as full mouse control with a touchpad, while keeping the keyboard footprint as compact as possible.

In addition to the above features, there is also scroll functionality on the outer edge of the touchpad. All of this adds up to a full function, multi use keyboard device. No need to also have a mouse in your already compact space

Smaller Foot Print

With the integration of the touchpad and numeric keypad, and with the limiting of the edit keys, we have managed to keep a full size keyboard, that takes up as little space in your work area as possible.

Patented Accuracy

CK3-15 incorporates a Cleankeys patented invention called TouchTap™. It is the only touch surface that lets you rest your fingers on the surface without enabling a keystroke until you are ready to type. This allows 10-finger ‘touch’ typists to approach speeds and accuracy of a regular keyboard. Fast typists do not always hit the keys in the center; Cleankeys resolves the conflict that arises when a finger lands between two keys, choosing the most likely letter based on the word you are typing.

Corning Gorilla Glass 2

CK3-15 incorporates a Corning® Gorilla® Glass top. Gorilla Glass is a tough, scratch resistant glass designed to withstand the daily wear and tear inflicted upon the keyboard. It is thinner than regular glass, enabling a slimmer and sleeker design with greater touch sensitivity. It is now on the world‘s coolest keyboard.

Features & benefits

Patented Touch-Tap™ Technology Cleankeys is the only touch keyboard that allows you to rest your fingers while typing; plus Cleankeys resolves the conflict that arises when a finger lands between two keys, choosing the most likely letter based on the word you are typing. These features makes the keyboard very accurate.

CleanSweep™ Monitoring Software

CK3-15 is amongst the new line of our keyboards to have revolutionary new self-monitoring software that will let you know when to clean, and also how well the keyboard has been cleaned.  Download CleanSweep software.

CleanSweep Monitoring Software

Corning® Gorilla® Glass Gorilla Glass (GG)

Means that the keyboard is thinner, lighter, resistant to scratching & harsh cleaning chemicals, & stronger than standard glass.

Fully Certified

ISO layout means all the keys you’d expect on a full-sized keyboard. FCC, CE, RCM, IP65 certifications mean its safe and reliable.

In-place Cleaning

Just pause, spray, and wipe. No need to unplug and take it to a sink.

Touchpad / Numeric Keypad

Data entry and cursor control made easier by a combined touchpad- / numpad area.

CK3-15 uses a small USB receiver that plugs into the computer, that in turn receives a signal from keyboard. This “frequency agile” radio means no interference with other wireless devices.

Audible Feedback

Instant confirmation when a key is typed.

Volume Control

Six volume levels including OFF allows you to tailor the audible feedback to your environment.

Works with Gloves

A five point sensitivity setting means that big fingers, little fingers, and gloves are no problem; all can be accommodated by hanging the sensitivity setting.

Plug-and-Play using Standard USB

There is no special software required on your computer to use Cleankeys - just plug and play.

Mac, Windows, Linux, & Unix.

Built-in tilt, full-sized keys, and non-skid rubber feet help make the user experience a comfortable delight.

Control Panel Software

Easy access to keyboard settings.

How does Cleankeys work? (wireless and corded)

Cleankeys uses touch-capacitive technology, similar to what you might be familiar with on touch-sensitive appliances such as a microwave oven or Ceran top stove. A small electric field is created above each key, which is affected by the presence of a human finger (try using the end of a pencil and you’ll see it won’t work). The sensors work even when you’re wearing gloves.

Is the Cleankeys radio Bluetooth? What type of wireless protocol does Cleankeys use?

No. Cleankeys uses a 2.4 GHz radio, which requires less power, therefore improving battery life. It is also very easy to set up the keyboard to work with your computer. No software is required, simply press the red “pairing” button on the small receiver while it is plugged into your computer, and then press the blue “pairing” button on the back of the Cleankeys keyboard. You’re done. (This only needs to be performed once).

What is the range of the wireless radio?

The wireless range is expected to be 30 feet. (9.14m).

How do I adjust the sensitivity?

Perform the following:
Pressing and hold the “fn” key
Press either F11 (decrease) or F12 (increase)
This will allow different hand/finger sizes to work properly with Cleankeys. Smaller fingers may require increased sensitivity, while larger hands less sensitivity. Try different settings until you find what works best for you.

How do I check the status of the battery?

Perform the following:
Press and hold the “fn” key
Press and hold the “F6” key (Labelled “battery” in blue above the key)
The current charge level of the battery will be displayed in the box outlining 5 LEDs above the F9 – F12 keys. The battery indicator above F6 will begin to slowly flash RED when the battery is at about 20%. The LED will flash more quickly as the battery level gets closer to 0%.

What is the total number of charging cycles for the battery?

The battery should be good for up to 1000 charges.

How long should a fully charged battery last?

From full charge, and with average usage of 6 hours per day, it is expected that the battery should last for 5 days.

How long does it take to recharge the built in battery in the Cleankeys wireless model?

The built in battery can be charged two different ways, with the included AC adapter, or by plugging into a USB port on your computer. The charging times can vary from just under 5 hours, to as long as 41 hours, depending. (Yes, 41 hours is correct):

What is the “tap on/off “button” for?

Tap is unique to Cleankeys. This new technology allows 10 finger or touch typist to rest their fingers on the keyboard, similar to doing so on a standard computer keyboard.

How does “tap” work?

Touch and hold the fn key and press Tap on/off. Now when you rest your fingers on the keys nothing happens. Making a natural tapping motion on the keys causes a slight vibration which Cleankeys translates into a key stroke. This innovative technology allows experienced typists to type at speeds approaching that of their mechanical keyboard.
