Home-based Daycare (5/5) Jan 10, 2013 Angela Faye Lyshe-Thierry Cincinnati Oh US
I purchased this product for the preschoolers and older children I care for in my home daycare. The color-coded keys allows children to distinguish between letter and numbers, and constants and vowels. The bright colors also makes the keyboard fun to use. I also purchased the lower-case keyboard which is great for children who are at the beginning stages of using the computer as well as learning upper and lower case letters. With a regular keyboard, the child sees uppercase letters on the keyboard, but when that letter is pressed, they see the lowercase form of that letter. This can be confusing. Matching or other games can be be implemented to teach children uppercase and lowercase letters to make the transition to a regular keyboard easier.
Great Keyboard for my aging father... (5/5) Apr 18, 2012 Kevin McLeish Spokane WA US
In dim light he can see the keys much better than a standard keyboard... & he said he has made any typo's yet! I looked at a few of these, so when it arrived I forgot that this one doesn't have the F1, F2 etc... keys. I kept the other USB keyboard plugged in and off to the side in the event he ever wants to use those. Other than that, it's grrrreat!

While this is an educational item meant for schools, libraries, and institutes of learning, it can also double as a working model for those of us who might be impaired either dexterously or visually. It is a great asset.

Wonderful product and so user friendly. My dad, in spite of some dementia issues, has been able to use his computer thanks to this product!
