Technical Specifications
Functionality
Although at first glance it may appear to be a just another one-button switch, Buddy ElbowSwitch 7G has three times the normal functionality of conventional switches. The push button can carry out three distinct operations depending on how it is pressed. Tapping once and tapping twice are two very distinct operations in this revolutionary design. Moreover, Press & Hold is yet another distinct event.
Using these three mutually exclusive events, Buddy ElbowSwitch 7G can carry out three distinct sets of actions with a single switch.
Customization
Because Buddy ElbowSwitch 7G is part of our 7G product line, it is completely programmable using our free downloadable software utility, MyBuddyMic. MyBuddyMic is extremely easy to use and supports an intuitive interface. Each push button can perform three different events depending on how it is pressed (i.e. Click, Double-Click and Hold). These operations are mutually exclusive. Events can be programmed to carry out a large number of actions.
Actions can be used to simulate any keyboard, mouse, or joystick action as if the action was initiated by one of those devices. You can send a pre-programmed paragraph of text, a key click, mouse movements, or other information to a third-party application running on the host computer. You can also mute or activate a microphone, stop and start a recorder, or scroll a page on screen. The possibilities are up to the user’s imagination and creativity, all easily implemented with the free MyBuddyMic download.
