Goldtouch Mouse Sizing Guide

This guide is designed to help you choose the ergonomic mouse that will fit you best. Properly fitting your mouse to your hand is an important step in helping to reduce the pain, discomfort and possible injury that can occur from using your mouse improperly. Comfortable working will help you stay on task and contribute fully to your position.

How to Use Your Mouse the Right Way No matter how well a mouse fits your hand, if you’re not using it correctly, it’s still possible to do yourself harm. Here are a few tips for getting it right:

Lay your palm at the base of the mouse, making sure to keep it off the surface of the desk. Doing so will mean you won’t mouse from the wrong angle, putting pressure on your carpal tunnel (the key culprit in carpal tunnel syndrome). This will also stop you from planting your wrist against the desk and irritating your carpal tunnel.

Lay your fingers over the mouse. With your palm in this position, the tip of your fingers should touch almost to the edge of your mouse or even just beyond it.

When mousing, as you move your mouse around your desktop, make sure to move your whole forearm, rather than just your wrist or hand. This way, you’ll engage large muscles in the shoulder and upper arm, helping to prevent injury and strain.

When you’re ready to click, do so gently. Over-pressing buttons also strains your tendons, and is simply unnecessary with a good mouse.
